Susan Alcorn and other Women Composers from the Big Ears Festival on Contemporary Classics 03/27/2018

This week on Contemporary Classics is a celebration of  Women’s History Month with all women composers including Missy Mazzoli, Kaija Saariaho, Arlene Sierra, Caroline Shaw and Susan Alcorn.  Susan Alcorn was a discovery here at the Big Ears Festival.  She is a pedal steel guitar player with a love of Messiaen, Part and other contemporary classical composers.  Contemporary Classics is of course from 7-9 pm on Tuesday nights on WRUU.ORG or in Savannah 107.5 FM.
