On April 12, 1966, Jan Berry crashed his car into a parked truck on a side street.  He was near death and it looked like the end of Jan & Dean, the singers who made Dead Man’s Curve a popular song.  But Jan recovered, and with long and painful therapy, recovered most of his functions, although he was still paralyzed on his right side.  He went on to spend many years in the music industry, ending with his death in the early 2000’s.
