WRUU 107.5 FM is pleased to introduce you to our new Station Manager, Jay P. Jacobs II, M.D. 07/14/2021.
Retired physician. During his college days, Dr. Jacobs was one of the on-air hosts at WRUW 91.1 FM in Cleveland, Ohio, and then WPSU 91.1 FM in State College, Pennsylvania (along with his private disc jockey work). After college, he served over five years of active duty in the United States Air Force inthe Medical Service Corps and in Strategic Air Command. He is a wartime veteran, serving in the Panama Crisis and Desert Storm. After his military service, Dr. Jacobs completed his formal medical education, finishing at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
After many years of caring for patients, he has retired from the medical field and is returning to his first love…radio…and wishes to help make WRUU 107.5 FM in Savannah even greater. This capacity-building WRUU project, “Growing Unitarian Universalism Radio,” is funded in part by the Fund for Unitarian Universalism.
