Special Program about Black History in Savannah 02/23/2018
Leigh Rich and Brian Renner are doing a special 2-hour show about Black History Month this Friday, February 23rd. at 11:00 am, please join hosts as they discuss books for learning about black history in Savannah. We will highlight 16 different books that describe different eras of black history in Savannah, discussed chronologically with different song interludes that relate to each topic.
Also, we’ll feature the tenures of three different African American mayors in Savannah’s recent history, including the book by Dr. Otis Johnson, and two new books published last year about The Weeping Time sale and the life of civil rights activist W.W. Law.
