A History of Misbehavior: Savannah
Grace Fleming
This week, Grace Fleming, author of the novels Celebrity Wedding in Flowery Branch and Paranormal Solved, chats with Leigh and guest co-host Dr. Carol Andrews, associate professor emerita of literature, about her current work that focuses on the lives and times of the settlers of colonial Savannah. Apparently, citizens of the 1700s were a rascally, riotous, and rebellious lot who — much like their descendants — were always ready to proffer a drink (for their guests or themselves) as they formed the thirteenth colony of what would become a new nation. Fleming will present a lecture on this topic at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 12, as part of The Learning Center’s lunchtime lectures at Bull Street.
