Life in a devastated city, even for the victors, can be cold and dark. Graham Greene wrote the screenplay for The Third Man, the classic film of post-World War II misery. It came from his novella of the same name, but he wrote it with the idea of it becoming a movie script. Leigh and P. T. attempt to unravel the murky life of Harry Lime and his acquaintances in late-1940s Vienna.
