Combatting Racism and “White Fragility”
A conversation with Ronald L. Christopher
Ronald L. Christopher, board chair of the King-Tisdell Cottage Foundation and the Beach Institute African-American Cultural Center here in downtown Savannah, spent two-plus decades in the northeast earning his law degree from Harvard, attending the Wharton School of Business, and working as a lawyer and investment banker in New York. A Savannahian through and through, he returned home a few years ago to continue the conversations and work still to be done in our community regarding race, interculturalism, equity, and equality. Next Thursday, he will host a virtual “fireside chat” with author Robin DiAngelo about racism and “white fragility.” Join us for a pre-talk discussion.
