Of all the great joys in life, not much beats a good meal, especially this time of year. But according to the USDA’s Household Food Security report, approximately 35 million Americans faced hunger in 2019. Now, because of COVID, that number could grow to more than 54 million and exacerbate the health disparities and other gaps that have widened in our country. Mary Jane Crouch, executive director of America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, joins Leigh to examine how we can address this most basic human need.
