Tonight is my conversation with Ellen Taaffe Zwilich. She was the first woman to graduate with a doctoral degree from the Juilliard School and the first woman to receive the Pulitzer Prize in Music. And her Quintet for Alto Saxophone and String Quartet was just released on the album “Contemporary Voices” by the Pacifica Quartet.
