A conversation with Grace Anne Paizen
“We’re Victorians, just with cell phones!” so says Grace Anne Paizen, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Manitoba who studies gendered technology in the literature of the long nineteenth century, specifically the feminization of machines. She joins Leigh this week to discuss how archaic gender roles persist in modern technology, as well as fashion and fandom.
