“Cathedral”
Raymond Carver
Raymond Carver was a poet and short story writer who incorporated the voice of everyman in his verse and tales. His work won a Pulitzer, among other prizes. It’s been described as “minimalism” and “dirty realism,” with bare-bones sentences and ordinary people who have debilitating issues. Leigh E. Rich, P. T. Bridgeport, and Dr. Carol Andrews will review his late-in-life but most noted story, “Cathedral,” as well as some of his verse.
