Sylvia Plath: An Artist’s Life
Laura Davenport
Poet Laura Davenport returns to Listening to Literature, this time to discuss the life and work of Sylvia Plath. Plath’s strange and often sad life produced a body of vivid poems that define the confessional writing so popular in her era. In an upcoming series at The Learning Center, Davenport will examine recent scholarship that “sheds new light on Plath’s struggle against social and artistic codes.” She joins Leigh, P. T., and Dr. C to chat about this three-session series, which begins February 9.
More information about the program can be found at The Learning Center and on page 19 of the Winter 2023 catalog.
