Tonight on Evening Eclectic I have back composer-pianist, Kris Davis with her latest album entitled “Run the Gauntlet” which celebrates 6 extrordinary women pianist-composers Geri Allen, Carla Bley, Marilyn Crispell, Angelica Sanchez, Sylvie Courvoisier and Renee Rosnes, all of whom have profoundly shaped Kris’ musical journey as a pianist. “Run the Gauntlet” was released a week ago this past Friday on September 28th on Pyroclastic Records.
