Today, we talked about capitalism, the economic system that reaches into every aspect of our lives and commodifies every aspect of our lives: housing, agriculture/food, education, healthcare, militarism, employment, our political system, prison, New Deal and what is left of our public systems for the people, climate change, environmental degradation, the corporate media, and more.
Many say we are living in a time of late/end stage capitalism, the stage that is the most exploitive and unstable stage before collapse.
What is to be done? We suggested the following:
- expose the truths about the founding of the Americas and exploitation of the indigenous and the land and create plans for reparations
- expose the myths of capitalism
- analyze alternatives economic systems
- support the working class and their struggles within this system
- help plan and carry out effective actions to effect economic system change
