Tonight I have back two of my frequent and favorite guests on Contemporary Classics composer David Lang and Donald Nally, conductor and music director of the vocal ensemble The Crossing. But the exciting thing tonight is I have them TOGETHER to talk about the new album “poor hymnal” with music and libretto by David Lang and performances by The Crossing conducted by Donald Nally. “Poor hymnal” was released this past Friday, December 13th on Cantaloupe Music. And coming up this weekend are New York premiere at of “poor hymnal” at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Saturday, December 21, at 7:30p.m., with Philadelphia concerts of “poor hymnal” on December 20 & 22, Friday, December 20. at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Mark’s Church and Sunday, December 22 at 5:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill.
