On Tuesdays 7-9 pm on Contemporary Classics  we are exploring a journey of spirituality through contemporary classical music.  This show was stimulated by a communication within an online Buddhist organization sharing a link to a performance of John Tavener’s “Wake Up … And Die” for solo cello and orchestral cello section.   We will be listening to this work in this program as music which evokes spirituality.  Also in this program are Górecki’s Symphony #3, John Adams’ “On the Transmigration of Souls” and Samuel Barber’s  “Agnus Dei”.
