Contemporary Classics on Tuesday night from 7-9pm on wruu.org and 107.5 in Savannah.  Can you guess what we will be playing . . . .  yes there is contemporary classical music at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville next week an we will be featuring these artists on Contemporary Classics.  Brooklyn Ryder, Brooklyn Rider with Bela Fleck, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), and the Bang on a Can All-stars will all be featured on Tuesday night’s show.  Compositions by Anna Thorvaldsdottir, Philip Glass, Julia Wolfe, David Lang, Pauline Oliveros and others will be heard.  Yes I will be going – when you know members of the Brooklyn Rider and Bang on a Can All-stars you have to go.  And I would love to meet members of ICE. Again nowhere but on WRUU-LP, at wruu.org and 107.5 in Savannah can you hear this great music.
