Sat. 5 pm. Not many people have heard of Yiruma – he plays sweet, plaintive solo piano and is much better known in other parts of the world than here. We have one of his signature pieces this time. We also have Max Richter’s orchestral reflection on the Kosovo conflict, some of the later work of Ramsey Lewis, and some jazz based on the movie Black Orpheus. There’s a string quartet that has made its name outside of the classical realm, and some Kevin Kern too. This and much more, plus P.T.’s grumpy week. 11/17/2018
