“Classic Jazz Mondays” will transport music fans back in time to the days
when the jazz greats were in their heyday. You will hear some of the
most influential jazz artists, such as Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk,
John Coltrane, Bud Powell, Bill Evans, Duke Ellington, Cannonball
Adderley, Horace Silver, and many others on a historic journey with some
of the greatest music ever recorded.
Larry Dane-Kellogg has been
a lifelong music fan and a Jazz DJ and Programmer for almost 30 years.
He has been involved in the music culture of Savannah for many years.
He has presented jazz events with Coastal Jazz Association, the Savannah
Jazz Festival, and Savannah Onstage, the forerunner to the Savannah
Music Festival. He has also promoted musical events of various genres
for many years, presenting jazz, classical, and film. He has also
served as Board Member of the City of Savannah Department of Cultural
Affairs. He currently serves at the Editor of Coastal Jazz Association
monthly newsletter, Noteworthy.
