“3 Minutes Long” The Rock n Roll Cookbook radio show on WRUU is seeking original stories, poems, playlets, songs, sound art and other audio or spoken word sketches of 3 Minutes long”…. 12/17/2020.

(Entry deadline is Dec 18 – on or before 11:59 pm.) Email all inquiries and submissions to: info@rockingchairsrr.com. Please specify: Three Minutes in 2020 in the subject line. Guidelines:
1. Spoken word compositions should be no more than 450 words (3 minutes of performance time), whichever is longest. A “grace period” of up to 15 seconds over the 3 minutes is allowed.
2. Composition can be any format, structure or style, fiction or nonfiction, but must be original and relate to the writer’s personal experience of 2020 with at least one reference to an actual event of the year.
3. Multiple entries are accepted. All entries must be in mp3 audio format and accompanied by an email that includes the following information:
Author Name, Title, Duration, Contact Phone and Email. In addition the email must contain a clearly stated consent giving WRUU permission to broadcast and rebroadcast your work. If the author is under the age of 18, please include the age and/or grade and a statement of parental consent.
4. Deadline for submission of email mp3 files with the accompanied email information as described in #3 above is: Friday December 18, 2020 on or before 11:59 pm.
5. Artists will be notified of selection decision by Wednesday, December 23. Selected compositions will be aired on WRUU Radio on Tuesday, December 29 at 4 pm in a special radio variety event: ‘Three Minutes in 2020’.
