Thu. 1 pm – Courageous Conversations with Sheree welcomes Co-Authors Brenda L. Roberts and Pamela Howard-Oglesby. The topic of the hour is The Weeping Time, a slave sale which happened in Savannah, GA on March 2nd and 3rd, 1859. It is recorded as the largest sale of enslaved persons in U.S. history. 03/05/2020.

We will celebrate, commemorate, and memorialize these 429 enslaved persons during “The Weeping Time Weekend” on Friday, March 6, Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, 2020.
 
Brenda L. Roberts is a native Savannahian, who grew up in the West Savannah community. She is the daughter of the late Mrs. Christola Kennedy Bell, Mr. & Mrs. Louis O’Brien, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Adams, Sr.
